Kathy, good job on getting in your workout. Hope work on your paper went well too.

CJ -- WTG on getting in a 7 mile run. You are sooo doing the right things. Woohoo!!!!

Jenn -- Glad you're resting today. Sounds like you need it.

Kelly -- Hope you enjoy the Super Bowl with your family, and I really hope you start feeling better soon. Might be worth a visit to your doc if this doesn't clear up.

On Saturday, DH and I went out and did a little 3 mile run. He's been sick and I'm still fighting my ITB pain. Then we went to the big city for shopping for my MIL's birthday. Treat for me: I bought a cut pink and red painted glass Weight Watchers scale and have given my psycho-random-wretched scale the boot.

On Sunday, DH and I absolutely reveled in the incredible weather we are having here. Sunny, clear, almost no wind, 47 degrees. He ran in a short-sleeved shirt and tights, I ran in a long-sleeved shirt and SHORTS! We did 8 miles and I ran hard, averaging a 9:10 pace, which is considerably faster than my usual long run pace. I did 15 minutes of sit-ups when I got home and stretched. I'll ice my ITB in a while after I get some computer work done. (Entering sports stats *sigh*)

My eating has been all over the place with not feeling well. Pretty much just eating what sounds good. Only had cereal with banana for dinner last night. DH had taken me to Olive Garden, and I had ordered the Fettucine (yes I know, bad, bad, bad) because it sounded like something I would eat. I didn't eat very much of it anyway and took it home. He had it for dinner.
Today is Superbowl and I am making things to have here and take to my dad's and stepmother's. Not going all out like I planned, as she is increasingly feeling unwell, DH is coming down with a cold, and I am having trouble with my stomach. Getting ready to go to the store now since it will be insane in a couple of hours.

Ended up having a very busy , but nice day, did 7 miles, ran some errands, got my hair cut and colored and went to see The Artist with a girlfriend. I only had a GNU bar for lunch so I am home and HUNGRY. Having chicken breast on a huge kale, pepper, and assorted veggie salad.
I never have had a salad from Subway Kitty. I think the smell and sight of the bread would derail me before I got the order placed!

Congrats on joining the gym! Hope you enjoy it. I like having other people around. If I can just get myself there, I usually do more than I would do at home.

I did my metabolic conditioning class this morning. Need to focus on my paper now. Good lunch possible if I work hard for the next 1.5 hours.

Trying hard. Logged food for 2 days in a row. Weight back to a reportable 169 (I refuse to admit that it's been a little higher than that! :o ). Onward and downward. My new rule, starting today, is that I can only report a loss if I've seen it for two days running. I had that rule years ago when I first lost weight, and I think it helps curb the celebration that sometimes happens -- you know, "oh good I lost a pound so I'll reward myself" and then I gain two.

Have a great day, everyone.

Happy Saturday!

I opted for Subway yesterday, too, kitti :) But I went all out and had bread AND baked Lays... think I'll choose a salad next time and skip the chips!! (Thanks for the suggestion.)

My plan for the weekend:

75+ Minutes on the treadmill today (I joined the local gym rather than buying my own!)
500 calorie deficit (lots of fruit today :D ease up on the intake tomorrow )
SUNDAY is my Day of REST - I've been running ragged what with my company's annual meeting and such.... I have a bit of a cold and I need to make sure I'm takin' care of me!!

Bring on the weekend!
Hopefully I'll have good things to report on Monday......

And.... like kitti said - GO PATS!!

Still making the plan. A little sluggish this morning. Oh well, nothing coffee and a workout can't cure!
