Hi, I am bonny. I have many blessings in my life. One is waking up each morning to share a new day with my family. The other is getting to go outside and play in the new 12 inches of snow on the ground with my little girl and little boy. hope2u

Today I am grateful that my husband is home from the hospital and that his heart has snapped back into normal sinus (sp) rhythm. I gained 2 lbs through all of this anxiety and worry but I am back on the wagon and plan on getting it off by getting back with my program. We have been truly blessed http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hi Lenii,
I love your Ralph Marston musings. I DO count my blessings, more often than not - but I seem to need to be reminded every now and then.

THe beauty of a day filled with possibilities, what a gift!

My blessings today:

being up unnaturally early for me and thus in a position to hear the birds sing at sunrise

sitting in a nice clean house this morning after getting a lot of help from DH

having rented my property in Calgary for March 1st to a really nice person

living in a climate that never seems to go below the midforties (F) in winter and revelling in the profusion of cherry blossoms all around town.

starting a new book today!

All a blessing

Whether the golden sun warms you to the core or the bitter cold wind stings your face, it is all a blessing. Whether you are surrounded by pleasure or immersed in toil and strife, every moment is a thing that carries boundless beauty and possibility.

Take each moment as it comes to you and give your best to it. Resenting the pain will only make it more painful, and hoarding the pleasure will only prevent you from experiencing its joy.

Give your attention and your energy to where you are. For when you truly appreciate the value of where you are and what you have, it opens you up to a world of possibilities.

Move beyond your own arbitrary judgments, and things that were once difficult and intolerable can become far easier to bear. Consider that much of what makes something difficult is the way you think and feel about it.

Rather than seeing yourself as enduring something unpleasant, see yourself as contributing your very best to a challenging and energizing situation. Rather than waiting for something better to come along, take the initiative and find a way to make something better actually happen.

Every moment is a truly unique and valuable blessing when you see it as such.

Any comments on this?? Do you usually stop and count your blessings??? Here are mine for today, what are yours????

A plan for a healthy lunch out.2 tacos and lots of shredded lettuce salad instead of refried beans and spanish rice served at Diamond Daves.

A new idea and plan. http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
