My pig out was between 3:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. I headed out the door at 4:25 and walked 1.5 miles, stopped at a neighbor's house (she waved me inside) who had just gotten out of the hospital. I think I got home about 6 p.m. I likely walked for 1 hour or so. Didn't check the clock.
And yes, the low was about 3 hours later..... but I took my second dose of medication around 4 p.m. or so, I think. Can't remember. Guess I should be documenting the time of my meds, too, since it varies depending upon when I remember them! Adding the medication with the walking perhaps is what pulled the BS down.
I'm taking a dose that usually doesn't really make me go so low. Hmmm.... maybe that walk kept the metabolism going well after I returned.

Yup...the akpiqs look almost exactly like a raspberry or black berry, except for color and taste are much different. They are tart, not sweet like a raspberry.
How did you go from 6 macaroons at 3pm to 54 a little over 5 hours later? Was that before or after your walk. I maybe should have warned you...walking an extended distance more or less continuosly always drives my blood sugar down...then after I stop it starts to rise slowly over the next 2-3 hours sometimes higher than I'd like to see it. So I always have glucose tabs on me when I walk. Anyway, you know the ropes, just use caution and be prepared. Everybody's different, I've bounced a few other diabetic boards in the last couple of weeks and this seems to be common among diabetics who walk, especially after a meal.
Good luck...problems are meant to be solved.. http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
