My family clan either keeps in continued touch via phone, email, instant message, or in person. It's fun as we try to encourage one another and share what works and what doesn't.

My sister (who teaches in a high school) sent word with a teacher from my school to approach me once during a school staff luncheon..... during dessert. She came over and said she was supposed to ask how my diet was coming and that I would know who sent her! LOL. I did.

My brother-in-law owns a service station/ auto repair shop. When I've sneaked in for an oil change it's amusing to see him sniffing around the donuts or some cookies or brownies the secretary might have brought in. I'm just waiting to catch him! LOL. We have fun.

bascially i am the only one, hubby is starting to think more about losing. I pretty much plan on counting calories, and carbs.

His mom has always been working on losing weight by going to tops, but we don't compare notes or complete with each other, were way to different in personalitys for that to work.

I'm the only following any kind of plan. Kerm is on the "Don't Eat Too Much" diet...just cutting back on calories and losing in the process. She's down to 208 from 216 2 or 3 weeks ago.

A guy in my office is trying low carb but keeps getting all messed up at his mom's whenever she makes fresh donuts.

My Ooma has been low carbing for awhile now and has lost a whole lotta weight.

chow......d.

My son and his wife are doing Atkins. We are all kind competing. So far I am losing the most. D-I-L needs to lose at least 50 pounds right away so she can have heart surgery....she has an anurisim. So, we all started Atkins together.

My brother and sister-in-law started the South Beach diet recently and my brother is all excited about it. One of my sisters is doing Weight Watchers while her husband is doing Atkins. Her teenage daughter is doing a modified low-carb and so are my parents. My favorite aunt and her daughter both had the stomach bypass surgery. With all those diets plus mine that is low calorie, we have a good time competing with one another! Most of them don't have all that much to lose (except my aunt, cousin & myself).
