I've got 3 different accts with 3 different ISPs to ensure I'm never offline..my starband sattelite account and Astac DSL account at home and my GCI toll free access account for when I'm on the road with the laptop..GCI also backs up the home and work connections...

I was very frustrated!! And had no way of letting you know here that I couldn't get to the board.

I kept thinking.... who could I call to have them let the board know why I'm not here --- and that I don't know when I could be here? I have Marge's and Jeanel's phone number, but neither of them post here anymore. And their numbers are in my online address book anyway!! Vashti moved so I don't have hers anymore either.

The information operator looked for a Dave Welch in Point Hope, Alaska, but couldn't find a listing for one..... and I was too afraid to call the other Welch listed in case it wasn't Iceman. Didn't want to be embarrassed or have someone think they were getting a crank call. LOL.

I impatiently waited and eventually got back online, but the company told me to expect continued intermittant outages. So I was able to get here afterall. Gosh, what a panic to think I had NO access!!!! LOL.

Anyway, bottom line and question is..... if anyone wouldn't mind to sometime get an "emergency" call from me when I can't get here ..... would ya email me your phone number???
