It's definitely tricky measuring and figuring carbs and calories for spaghetti. I determined once (checked my records) that 1 1/2 measured cups of cooked spaghetti was about 315 calories. Don't have carbs documented on that one.... and it doesn't include the sauce. My meat sauce that day was 121 calories for 1 cup. Have no clue what kind it was, but I usually add ground beef and an extra can of tomato chunks to whatever sauce I had a coupon for.

Aggiette, pull out your catsup bottle and read the nutrition label. It will tell you how much sugar is in it. You should practice reading and getting to know and understand the food labels. Before long you'll be an expert!

you got my mouth watering with your post about variety MsH...so tonight I'm having spahgetti with the family...have no idea how to estimate the carbs on this one...i think i'll dose light and add more later if i need it..i'm tired of these lows and near lows i've been having. i decreased 2uH at lunch and had 67 three hours later...half a pineapple ring brought me up to 82...doesn't take much does it...i'm going to still eat the rest of the beans w/ ketchup though...i like asparagas with parmesean cheese or a cheese sauce on it too... http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

IceMan, I thought since you were giving my green beans and catsup a try, it would only be fair for me to try the asparagus. I hadn't tasted it in years and years (childhood?) and guess what.... had it today and it was tolerable. Not all that bad. Might have tasted better with catsup! LOL

Aggiette, I'm not all that fond of dill pickles but LOVE sweet pickles! But to buy them is too many calories, so I improvise. And it works! When I do it my way, there's NO calories!!!!
