I rescued this kitten from being a stray. It's so sweet, friendly, beautiful markings..... but a hyper playful kitten that makes me laugh. Had to get her front paws declawed to save my furniture and carpeting as she sure was a scratcher!

It was the first year I didn't have a tree. But so many of my ornaments are special that I KNEW what would happen. She'd be climbing and jumping into that tree and probably even repeatedly knocking it over. I hope she's more mellow by next year.

MsH, not putting a tree up with a new kitten was a good idea. We have a new kitten and had to take all breakable ornaments off right after getting it decorated. All the other times I've gotten kittens, they've been spring kittens and past the bouncing off the wall stage before Christmas. He is so cute sometimes though (sometimes annoying when he things my feet are playthings or tries climbing up my pants).

Normally I leave the tree up until Jan. 7 but this year taking it down tomorrow and reclaiming my living room.

mine is still up. Normaly it is down like the day after Christmas, but this year, I have a fake tree, and I don't know where to put it here. I don't have a storage shed here or anything. I think it will take up my whole spare closet, that is where I wanted to store yarn...LOL

I asked Josh today to build me a small storage shed out behind my new place....there is room out back. I need a place for my freezer too.

Took mine down today because my son was here to help. He did most of the work because of my back. Usually they're up till the weekend after New Year's. We didn't do the tree this year because of the new kitten. And I know it was a wise decision!

Got them all packed up and into the closet - the rest to the basement. THEN I find a Christmas nightlight in a kitchen outlet that I forgot to put in. Don't ya just hate that?
