Happy New Years Everyone,
Bruce received his Kidney and Pancreas Transplants on December 30th. Our families New Years Celebration was spending time with him at the hospital. He is doing remarkably well and as long as everything keeps going in this direction, he will be out of the SICU tomorrow and they are saying he might even be able to come home on Monday or Tuesday.

With my "new" limited mobility, it's kinda hard to tell whether I have more energy right now.
I have friends attending the Purdue bowl game in Orlando. I looked in for about 2 minutes and didn't see them anywhere in the stands (hahaha) and I think it was half-time anyway.
I took another nap and am now up for the day. I've got a LC (Lean Cuisine) Entree cooking in the microwave right now. Smells good!
I know my sugars are doing better likely because I've curbed my eating. But I'm wondering how that will affect that Lantus Insulin study. With the numbers I'm getting now, I don't NEED insulin! I'm back temporarily to just glucophage and glyburide.

Geeeeeez, a recovering football fan...and I thought I'd seen it all.... http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif The only game I'm really hot to watch today is the Rose Bowl..I'm gonna boycott the national championship game because by rights USC should have been in it...but USC - Michigan should be a classic matchup in the Rose Bowl.
Of course, "Somehthing Else" is always a viable alternative. How you feeling after your night out last night..?? I'd bet with your better numbers lately your energy level is rising a tad...no?
Hope you have a great day...!!!

Enjoy your football time. I seem to avoid most football now, but at one time was a big New York Jets fan and would never miss a game. Loved watching that yukky old Joe Namath, #12 in the green and white jersey. LOL. With my knees today, I can relate to his problems back then more now. LOL!
For a couple of seasons I was also a University of Michigan fan when one of my daughter's friends went to college and played some football there. Watched some I.U. Hoosier football, too, when a kid we knew used to do some quarterbacking for them. Now I just watch something else.

Good Morning Friends...Wind's still howling out there, fireworks were postponed last night and we all went to bed right after midnight and our new year's kisses.
I'm gonna work in the Shak today...watch the Rose Bowl at least and try to log some more progress on my web site.
Good idea about the checks...my first few of the year are usually just messily crossed out and the correction initialed... http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Have a great day everyone, where ever you are and what ever you do.....

I just got home from work awhile ago. Love that extra money to pay bills! I volunteered and signed up to work tonight because I never have any plans for something special so figured I might as well make some bread.... the kind with no carbs or calories! LOL.
Any special plans today? Let me guess..... Tournament of Roses Parade and Football. I hope to do some sleeping. Don't know about anything else except..... there's NO football in my future today.
Remember - gotta write 2004 on your checks now. I usually go through at one time and start writing 2004 ahead on my next dozen or so checks. That way I don't make as many mistakes.
Have a great holiday, Everyone!!!!
