Hello!
Just try to focus on your overall health - the weight loss will come. So many things can affect weight and weight can fluctuate throughout the day. Try and weigh yourself once per week, in the am, with the same amount of clothing. That will give you a much better idea of your weight loss than a daily check. Are you including strength training in your exercise routine as well?

Be patient and kind to yourself on all fronts. Our bodies fluctuate weight for all types of reasons. But if you exercise, eat healthy food in moderate portions, pay attention to your body, you will achieve your goal. Give your body the time to adapt. And above all...Keep On Keeping On! (KOKO!)

hey thanks for responding ..its means alot on a discouraging weigh day!
Yes, I know you are right about measuring portions...I just got a small scale and am going to start being more careful that way. Its sometimes hard when entering things if you don;t see exactly what you ate, and are not able to enter it as a new food. I don't like to guess about it..want to be accurate. I don't eat sweets or any sodas..only water, green tea, etc. any other tips are helpful..

Have you tried measuring your food? I do that every now and then to make sure my serving sizes are correct. When I first measured, I was surprised at how far off I was.

Hi there. I'm not Jennifer, and she would probably give you a better answer, but I am going through the same thing.
Weight loss is much more complicated than it seems. We have to consider PMS symptoms, water retention, sodium intake, refined foods, chemicals, etc...the list goes on and on.
I try to eat as much "natural" stuff as I can. Try to stop drinking soda (even if it is diet) too. Perhaps those changes could make a difference.
But hang in there...it will come! Its ONLY been a couple weeks. http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I am on week 3 starting today. I enter everything I eat & drink very carefullly , exercise every day, drink water, etc. At tne end of each day, it shows that my calories are low enough that I should be losing and yet today I weighed in exactly where i was when beginning 2 wks ago. In the middle of these 2 wks I lost a few lbs but now back to where i was in beginning , after 2 wks of REALLY trying hard and eating carefully. I feel discouraged. why would it look like I should be losing from my food/exercise log but in reality I am not?
help please before I resort to duct taping my mouth!! I only have about 10-15 lb to lose and have alot of muscle but still have plenty of fat to lose! help .my bd is in 2 weeks and want so much to be able to see the scale go down a little bit..esp. since I am trying so hard.
