My kids keep me busy running here and there, plus the team managing I do for soccer. But I walk during the hour pre-game warmup time (unless I'm cramming for my homework!) so I benefit. DD and DS help me lift weights or keep me company when I'm on the t-mill.

Dogs need walking some mornings and evenings when no-one else does it.

Barn chores take me 45-60 minutes daily, lifting, walking, shoveling etc. I actually enjoy it. Chickens aren't too much work, but I love the rewards.

My critters (boys, 12, 12 and 6) also get me moving. And since I'm working on their fitness as well as my own, I spend a lot of time toting them here and there. One day I actually swam during DS's swimming lesson. I think there's a little trickle-down working: DS #2, who is my most committed couch potato, announced that he has lost three pounds! k

My critters help me get moving on mornings when I don't feel like it. The kitties just won't tolerate my lying around in bed when they haven't been fed. And the horses keep me well exercised. My usual morning feeding routine requires about 45 minutes of walking on my part.

I don't think Maggie impacts my eating much.

She loves me just the way I am fat or thin!

Maggie got a bunch of shots on Monday so she was kind of "achy" and "down" Monday night and Tuesday morning....she's back to normal now...ran away yesterday...

She gets her Lymes vaccine in two weeks then she's good to go for awhile!

She's looking forward to swimming in the river this summer!

So what are you "babies" (big or small,furry or feathered...) up to these days???
And how do the responsibilities of their care impact your food and exercise plan? Do you think you are more aware of your choices and their impact or more distracted and less likely to make good choices when the demands are highest?
