I'M ITCHY! Good lawsamercy I am having fantasies about ripping off all the reston foam padding and scrubbing myself all over with a brillo pad! This is maddening. It worsened all through the day yesterday and sleep was nearly impossible. When I did sleep I had strange dreams about being covered in cat hair or being at the beach with sand stuck to my body.

Called the doc this morning and he sez "Only one more day and the foam can come off & you can shower - but DO NOT SCRUB!" Fine. I'll just rub (a lot) with a washcloth, I guess. Actually, about 2 AM I ripped off the two pieces stuck on my upper back because they were half falling off anyway - like partially amputated wings flapping around back there. At least my upper back doesn't itch anymore - but the whole torso is screaming. I keep having to stop myself from picking around at the edges...

I have pretty much decided to get this crap offa me at 12:01 AM Sunday morning. Hey, he said Sunday morning, he didn't say what time.

Feeling better overall. Soreness is decreasing greatly from one day to the next. Still no visit from the bowel fairy, although the fart fairy is making regular trumpeting appearances.

Thanks to all for your kind words of encouragement & support. Hope you don't get bored with this! Will take a couple of pics today for posterity.
