Mention of tax returns brings back memories for me. My dad was an accountant, and in our family we had several weeks of what was known as "income tax season". It meant we had lots of company in the evening, friends bringing over their materials for daddy to help them file their return. He was always obliging, and on the 15th there was always a late night visit to the post office.

He had to retire early when he lost his vision, and he passed away in 1992. Those were good times, though. Thanks for the reminder.

it is late I know but I am here, went to curves this am as usual, did grocery shopping on the way home, made some salsa bites, (( new Recipe from low carb)) very good, and not hard to make.
you would never know they are a low carb recipe. I used low fat cream cheese and FF cheese so fat grams are low.

Good evening girls
After a busy day I'm on board at last.
Good to see you all there Allie you sound a bit better. is that so?
I did the last of painting on Santdorig so she can go in the water on Thuesday.
She look spic and span on the underwater part. If she is in the water I can do the rest and if it is raining I can clean the inside. It is just like spring cleaning Albatross!
In Holland tax day is the 1st of April.
Our accountant didn’t do his work so I have to do it all over and I was very angry.
I did my swimming, visit my mother in Law and painted the boat. Now it is evening and I prepare a speech for my class tomorrow night. They finished their three years course in Theology.
Have a good day you all.
Carol I hope you get your energy back

My husband is chief procrastinator, ours go in today. This is amazing though as he had them done a day early..usually he is rushing at 11 pm to hand them to the mailman. Drives me crazy..I would have had them done in Jan.

Last year he had to call for an extension and that was humiliating to him...so this year I give him credit he did start them much earlier.

He is also taking our work truck in to the shop today to get repaired. Yes..it is broken down again, last year he spent the entire summer replacing the engine. Now it is either the transmission or rear end; but he finally took my advice and is having it done so he can keep working. Our entire summer was ruined over that last year.

Maybe there is hope for him after all http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif ... after 38 years together, I guess I knew long ago I wasn't going to change him!!!

On board but without much energy, so I will slack off on the hard, energy pushing rowing.

Not only have I filed my taxes but the return was in my account and has been used for excellent reasons. (Pat, pat on my shoulder http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif)

On board here, have already got a load of laundry done, and am just taking a break by sitting down to log in and write some checks to pay bills. We got our taxes filed over a month ago, but today is the day I also have to send in our quarterly payment for 2003 taxes. http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif Then back for a busy day.

But, I am going to treat myself by going for a haircut! All set for Easter.

Have a great day!

Good morning! I'm on board. I'll be heading off to work here in a few. The temps are going to be getting cooler around here again. I'll miss those beautiful high 70's and low 80's days but I know they will return. http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hope you all have a very successful and lovely day. http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Good morning, All, have long since filed taxes, gotten refund, spent refund, and that is that til next year! http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gifToday is to be a lovely warm day in Toronto, hurray, but alas it is to get cold again on Thursday, and up north they are going to have ice pellets and wet snow to greet Easter weekend, I hope we escape that!!! So I am going to enjoy this beautiful day to the fullest, yesterday we went for a walk by the lake, and Miss Molly thought it was time for a swim, brrrr she is brave!Think to-day we will repeat the walk, love watching the swans and ducks! http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gifGood morning all!! Our taxes have been out of the way for some time now...no use in putting off the inevitable I suppose so we took care of it early!!! Considering the condition of certain parts of the world its kind of a priviledge to pay!!!!!
Pennywinkle thanks for the heads up on the daily hoorah!!!!!! I think its a great idea to do that!!

Food Plan for the Day:

Breakfast.....corn flakes and a bananna.

Lunch.........egg salad snug as a bug in a rug in pita bread!!

Dinner........Beef stew in the crockpot and hocakes!!!

It has been so uplifting to walk early in the morning. My senses are reeling from all the blooming things I pass on the way. This morning will be no exception...wish you all could go with me!!

Welcome back, DeeBee. I'm having my coffee, just back from our 4.5 km walk. It's amazing how quickly the morning daylight caught up to the change to daylight savings time.

I'm going to keep my NMW challenge ever before me today. Drinking coffee at work wasn't really the problem, it is the cream I put in it there, because milk is not available. If I drink clear tea and water, I'll be so much ahead.

I got some bloodwork results back yesterday, with blood sugar a bit elevated. I think it was the four brownies I had at the church potluck in the evening before beginning my fast http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif I have a retest before my physical this summer.

Have a healthy day.

Thanks for getting the coffee ready and the kettle filled for tea Albatross. Now to have one before I start and ready the boat for all the others when they get here. I am going to have a night of television tonight as C.S.I is on and it is cold here. I have a nice fire going and will just relax after a busy day. Good night all and Gooday. http://boards.dietwatch.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Since I was up so late thought I'd post the on board for today! I didn't even think about it being Tax Day until I typed it out (our taxes are filed and the refund already spent -wasn't much to spend).

I'm still working on the spring cleaning, just who exactly came up with the idea of spring cleaning anyway? (probably my Mom! -she was a demon about it!) I still have about half a house to work through before I can say it's done for this year, boy oh boy will I be glad to get this over with!

The pot of coffee is ready (I didn't switch it on, didn't want it to burn) and the kettle is filled and ready for those who prefer tea. I dusted and then swabbed the deck, put out the cat and fed the guppies.

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!
